Self-taught, Loïc Burzotta was a child when he began to draw and paint, fascinated by the illusion offered by figurative pictorial art. Trained in the art of jewelry at Ecole Boulle, in Paris, the painter's gesture converges with that of the jeweler, the result of careful gestural maturation. His work is accompanied by ornamental and illustrative productions, where art and technique remain inseparable.
Presented at « Vivre la lumière » group show, in June 2024, these academic studies suddenly take on a contemporary and pop art look, exposed to the light of a “pink neon” effect. Loïc’s « pink exploration » begins shortly after his return to Paris in Spring 2023. Initiated by simple studies of anonymous bodies, this stroll punctuated by interviews gradually gives way to the creation of figurative portraits.
